Our Client is a public limited company listed on the major stock exchanges in India and is engaged in the manufacture of Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs) and Solid Oral Dosage Forms. The development and manufacture of quality intermediates, bulk actives have been critical to our success in delivering innovative and affordable products for both the domestic as well as international markets.
With about 2000 employees, including over 200 R&D scientists, Client conducts research & development, and manufacture products.
The company wanted a chief executive or president of a large corporate division with experience in turnaround or growth environments. Experience in the pharmaceutical industry was preferred. More important was finding an individual with proven leadership skills and a reputation for getting results. They wanted a candidate who had experience in handling formulation initiatives for US and European Markets.
